The School District of Pickens County Board of Trustees is beginning the search for the district's next superintendent.
The search will be guided by the district's Innovate '28 Strategic Plan, conducted with transparency, stakeholder engagement, and a continued focus on what's best for students, employees, families, and Pickens County community.

The Board of Trustees, in partnership with the South Carolina School Boards Association, wants to hear from the people who know our schools and community best. As the search gets underway, the Board is gathering input from stakeholders to help identify the qualities, experience, and leadership priorities that should guide the search. Community members, along with the SDPC family, are invited to share their perspectives.

The Board of Trustees is available for the community to give input regarding the SDPC Superintendent Search. We will also have a written survey administered by SCSBA. As always, your individual area board members are accessible.

Community Input Survey Now Open
As the Board of Trustees continues its search for SDPC's next superintendent, we want to hear from the people who know and care about our schools and community.
Parents and guardians, community members, and SDPC staff members are invited to share their perspectives through a brief survey. Your feedback will help the Board identify the qualities, experience, and leadership priorities that are important as the district looks towards its next superintendent.

The survey is part of the Board's ongoing community engagement throughout the superintendent search process. This survey will be available for the community to provide input through October 9, 2026. Additional opportunities to provide input will be shared on this page as they become available.
