Chappy the elf is here for a while. And is giving a school a reason to smile. He's watching to see who's naughty and nice And won't' be found in the same place twice. Be on the lookout for him each day To find out where he chose to play.

In this picture, you see a group of teachers who came together to pack sunshine bags for children in Western North Carolina. A huge thank you to all the families who donated children's books! We packed over 400 bags filled with books, stickers, crayons, and coloring books. We even had several boxes of supplies left to deliver to another school in Western North Carolina. DES families, you truly went above and beyond—thank you for your incredible support and generosity!

Today, our little learners took the runway for a fun fashion show featuring the four seasons! 🌸☀️🍂❄️ Each PreK student got to pick an item from the bag that represented a season they’ve been learning about. Thanks to Mrs. Chapman for allowing the students to show off their creativity and knowledge of the weather. It was a fantastic way to bring our 'seasons' lesson to life! #SeasonShow #PreKFun #LearningThroughPlay

We caught Flipper in the car line taking up pennies this morning for United Way! If you did not get to stop by and give Flipper your spare change, he will be here the rest of the week! We don't want Mr. Chapman to get slimed.
