On Friday, 10/4, we will have the SME cafeteria open from 10 am - 12 pm. You are invited to come and charge devices if you need to. We will also have some supplies for families if those are needed. We will have cases of water from Mile Creek Baptist Church. Let your teacher know if you have specific needs and we will try and help. Hope everyone is safe and doing well! Hope to see everyone soon!

Monday, September 30 is PICTURE DAY! Please plan accordingly. This will be the picture that is featured in the SME Yearbook.

We will postpone our FUN RUN until Thursday, October 3 due to bad weather. Many students are asking about when they get the prizes they earned. We will have Officer Timmons kiss the goat, Mr. Smith get pied, and Mr. Land get silly-stringed all on FUN RUN day. On Thursday, 9/26, students can bring stuffed animals and wear hats. On Friday, 9/27, students can have crazy hair day, Mrs. Plyler will wear a wig, and Mrs. Terry will be taped to a wall. Top-sellers will also receive their prizes. Thank you so much for participating in our fundraiser! Money will be collected through Thursday, September 26.

On Thursday and Friday, 9/19 and 9/20, 5th grade teachers will be selling Chick-Fil-A biscuits for $5 each. If you would like to buy a biscuit in the car line, please turn on your flashers and the teachers will come to your car window.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, we will have our first Preschool Pages program. It is open to all children from birth- 4th grade who are not already enrolled in school. It will be at 10:00 am at Six Mile Elementary school. We invite you to join us monthly for this program.

Here are some important dates to remember for our upcoming fundraiser: Friday, September 13 - Fun Run kickoff - paperwork is sent home for students to begin collecting donations 9/13 - 9/25 - Students collect donations and pledges Thursday, September 26 - Fun Run Friday, September 27 - All prizes awarded. We hope that you can support our SME PTO in this event. Money collected will go directly to items for our school and students, including playground equipment, walkie-talkies, classroom items, and more.

Tomorrow is Blue and Gold Friday as we get ready to watch the Daniel Lions play Chapman on Friday night. Football players will be here in the morning to open car doors and greet students.
