As we transition to the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year and prepare for the return of approximately 1,500 students to face-to-face instruction, please take note of the several things to expect next week.
If your child(ren) will be attending face-to-face school and you have any questions about their second semester teachers or class schedule, please contact the school directly. Pickens County Virtual Academy students will receive information directly from their teachers.
School Schedules and Dismissal
On January 20, our high schools will return to the 4x4 daily class schedule, and all arrival/dismissal times will return to what they were at the beginning of the school year. As reminder, those times are:

Bus Schedules and Delays
Please be prepared for bus delays next week, as we adjust routes to accommodate students who are returning to face-to-face classes. If you have questions about the status of your child’s bus, please contact your child’s school directly instead of calling the bus office. Our bus offices are currently short staffed due to COVID-19 quarantines, and many of our bus office workers are driving buses.
Meal Delivery
On January 19, we will be offering free school meals to anyone under the age of 18. The meals can be picked up curbside at any of our schools from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and we will be delivering to bus stops. To see a list of bus stop locations and times for meal delivery visit the Student Nutrition Services website.
