Our 2nd grade students across traveled to the
Western Carolina Sailing Club on March 27-29 to launch the Sailboat Regatta
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) project. Students will use what they learned on the trip and in their STEM
classes about the science of motion to build and race model sailboats. Students
also learned important lessons about boat safety during the trip. We want
to give a shout out to the WCSC members and the Army Corps of Engineers for
taking the time to make this a special day of learning for our kids. There couldn't be a more beautiful place to introduce students to STEM learning!
